About Barry

As a teenager I was fascinated as images appeared on blank sheets of paper submerged in a tray of clear chemicals. In a garage dark room, designed and constructed by my father, I would watch as he developed film and processed photos as a means of supporting his portrait photography business.  I could not imagine at the time what was in store for my future.

I’ve enjoyed an amazing and rewarding career as a freelance photographer. It has afforded me a lifetime opportunity to view and experience God’s creation from multiple perspectives.

My youth and formal schooling took place in Southern California. While attending college I had the fortune to participate in a winter workshop in Yosemite, CA with Ansel Adams and a few of his well-known associates.  After earning my degree in business administration I worked with my father and his partner and helped promote their color lab business in Hollywood. After a couple years on the road, I found a niche photographing families and publishing membership directories. Occasionally, a different opportunity would appear. One memorable evening I accompanied a reporter from the Hollywood Citizen News and we covered the Academy Awards. I found myself face to face and taking photos of all the Hollywood stars and VIPs on the red carpet and backstage…my one and only evening as a paparazzi.

When the time presented itself for a change and a new challenge Seattle was my choice. It’s majesty is unsurpassed. I photographed much of a nature’s beauty while continuing to refine my skills in the areas of executive portraiture, wedding photography and special events. Here, I met the love of my life, Linda and we explored life together for seven years before cancer took her. So, with friends I did some traveling…Vietnam, Cambodia, Israel, Jordan and other places of interest. The spirit was stirring again.

Hello Las Vegas.  Within weeks of moving to Nevada I got a gig as a production assistant and photographer taking pictures in the world of MMA (mixed martial arts). Currently, I continue to offer special event, wedding, bar mitzvah and corporate photography services. And, for the first time I am hosting a gallery of photographic art, designed to enhance those empty walls in your home,
office and place of business.
